Olie was already an adult when the first Nephew was born, she also had some pretty strong maternal instincts, and knew how to handle grabby babies.
Akela, however, seems to think of the nephews and nieces as other puppies he can play with. Much to the dislike of the kids who are nervous around him.

The windchill can make -10 feel like -15, and -30 feel like -40. Although when it's -30 it just feel cold regardless of windchill!

Winter Boot Woes

Trying to find a good pair of boots that works with casual and formal wear, but are also comfortable, and can withstand Saskatchewan winters, AND at a reasonable price is a challenge. Not one I enjoy. Part of the problem (I believe) is that the designers have never actually had to spend time in a place that HAS cold, snowy winters.

Jacques & Kay is back! Since it's November Jacques is sporting his white winter coat and Kay's Flock prepares to fly southwards for the winter season. But Kay's excited to stay this winter.

Olie knew she wasn't allowed IN the garden, but anything on the outside was fair game. Akela's been eyeing the plants all summer. He also quite enjoyed mom's pepper plant, much to her ire.
