I recorded this one day after making them watch My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Isaac is a closet Bronie.

Also I did this animation in 5 hours.

Winters in Saskatchewan (part 1)

For those of you unfamiliar with driving in Saskatchewan, in summer the roads tend to be riddled with sneaky pot holes waiting to take a bite out of your tires and sometimes the car itself. In winter they fill up with snow (because they don't all get fixed in the summer) and can have a different effect, as I realised when I hit some ice (again, Boo roads. Boooooo) and managed to regain some friction after hitting a snow covered pot hole. 'Course they can still be very evil and sneaky if they melt and fill up with ice, or it only stops the one tire and the rest of your car goes spinning. That could also suck, but I personally haven't' encountered such pot holes and I really really really reaalllllly hope I never do.

So, upon cleaning out my shelving unit that currently holds my loose paper drawings, I found a WHOLE bunch of drawings from high school, University and even some elementary school stuff. I chucked a whole bunch, and saved a couple if they had a great deal of value to me. Some of them I kept to re-draw. Here is one such example. Or.. two such examples.

She has the relaxed thing down to an art.

Yep, when Olie sleeps she's either a mass of ooze that is taking full advantage of what gravity has to offer, or she is sleeping on her back with her legs sticking up in the air. Once you call her though, she pulls herself together to go properly nuts about whatever.

Tabatha Dragonclaw

So, I had second thoughts of posting this up on the Blog. I was really happy with how the pencil drawing and the colored drawing turned out, I was just hesitant of sharing this character to the world. She is a small part of an on-going story i've had running though my head since early childhood. Although this particular character has not really developed a specific story unlike the rest of her family. I have, however, always had a specific idea of her mannerism, design and her limits and strengths. But her story hasn't really been developed. Usually I don't draw her this serious looking either, so it was fun to do, I also tweaked her usual hair style as well. I blame anime.

John's Squid Dragon

So here is John's Squid Dragon. He had a dream about this dragon and asked me to draw it for him.

Good Boy Rufus.

Rufus was awesome like that. As he got older, his eyes began to cross and he would pant a lot. At one point my sisters taught him to go sit by Erin when they said "Rufus, go find your girlfriend."  And he would trot on over to Erin, sit down and stare at her cross eyed and drooling. He was pretty awesome.

As a kid, I really liked the Luck Dragon from Neverending Story, I even had one of those Wrinkies dog puppets and named him Dragondoggy. So here is my drawing of a DragonDoggy. Quite a bit inspired by how my own dog often sleeps.

Most Threatening Dragon

Just saw How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular, during the intermission I sketched a few dragons, including a flower breathing dragon and a bubble blowing one. On the way home, we had a conversation about different types of dragons. The result of said conversation is this picture as well as 2 others I shall upload when they are done. This is a squid firing dragon. I was going to make the dragon itself more....something. But as a request from John I am drawing an actual squid dragon, so I didn't want the two looking too similar. Plus I really wanted to draw the little squids and the chaos they would cause.

Not a Dog hair to be found.

Whenever I go to my sister Patricia's house I get sick. Since she has quite a few allergies and they try to keep there son (my Godson) healthy, Things are usually kept pretty clean. Plus she is allergic to cats and dogs, she can barley last 20 mins at our house with our dog. So my theory is that I get sick because their is NO dog hair or dust bunnies and my body doesn't know what to make my immune system do, so it just gives up and gets sick.

The candy in the bowl is that molasses candy. You know the ones I mean. Also I apologize for my lack of punctuation in this comic. And laughs. But I totally made that kids day and seeing the look on that kids, and his mom face after I told him I liked his costume totally made my week.

And for those of you who don't know I just got a job working at a studio for stop motion animation. As I spend majority of my time there, I've cut back on these posts, so I may just be posting them on the weekend or whenever I find time. At least until November

That's how people will learn to float around like in futuristic cartoons! It's not gonna be because of a highly-developed-super-brain with a tiny body, It's gonna be because some girl is going to have really really cute shoes she has to break in.

This could've been REALLY offensive

The point is, that if they weren't telling you what they were doing or who they are, you wouldn't know. And that's ok in the sense of 'hurray for multi-culturalism!', but if it's relevent to the story that you need to know who they are, then the story is going to have a hard time succeeding. Plus it's good to be proud of who you are, so long as you recognize everyone else for who they are and accept them. There. You learned something. Unless you alread knew this. In which case you learned NOTHING and i'm not sorry!

I didn't upload a comic yesterday because I was VERY busy working on a slideshow for a certain sisters wedding.
What? WHAT?!?! I don't have to post everyday! I don't have to post ANYDAY!

But to be serious I may not be able to post everyday, you may just have to take these comics as they come, considering I didn't really plan on making them in the first place. I just kind of started and haven't stopped.

Bunch of Sketches

 Somtimes while playing with my nephews they will say or do something that inspires a drawing. This is a Corcan which is a mix between a cow a horse and a toucan.
